Ball Clay – A1 Clay

Ball Clay is a premium-grade clay known for its exceptional plasticity, low-fired water absorption, and high vitrification properties. Sourced from the western regions of Rajasthan, particularly in Nagaur, Bikaner, and the associated belt, this clay is widely used in fast-firing ceramic applications.

Feature Description
Material Description Ball Clay is a premium-grade clay known for its exceptional plasticity, low-fired water absorption, and high vitrification properties. Sourced from the western regions of Rajasthan, particularly in Nagaur, Bikaner, and the associated belt, it is widely used in fast-firing ceramic applications.
Chemical Composition Silica (SiO₂) content: 70.3%
Alumina (Al₂O₃) content: 16.5%
Alkali content (Na₂O): 10.1%
Thermal Properties Provides excellent thermal stability, making it ideal for applications requiring high heat resistance. The presence of fluxing agents enhances melting characteristics and bonding strength.
Applications Widely used in the ceramic, electrical insulation, and refractory industries due to its low shrinkage (12.9%), high whiteness (L – 82.5), and fine particle size. Acts as a mineral filler, improving the strength and durability of end products.
Available Forms Lumps, powder, and chips, packaged in loose form, 50 kg bags, or jumbo bags, suitable for large-scale industrial applications.
